Griffin Up at Grand Central
Emily Griffin has been promoted to associate editor at Grand Central Publishing. Griffin, who edited Claire LaZebnik's Knitting Under the Influence and Leah McLaren's The Community News, has been with the company since fall 2003.
Shannon Joins S&S
Kim Shannon has been named director of national accounts at Simon & Schuster, representing the house's children's group. Shannon was twice Rep of the Year and was most recently a national accounts manager, selling to Borders at Random House. Before joining Random, she was at Workman.
Brady, Kalasky Up at Collins
Teresa Brady and Corrine Kalasky have both been promoted in the publicity department of HarperCollins's Collins imprint. Brady has moved up to associate director of publicity and Kalasky to associate publisher.
Scheier to Del Rey
Liz Scheier has joined Random House's Del Rey imprint as senior editor. Scheier was most recently at Penguin's New American Library imprint.
McCarthy To Ingram
Mary McCarthy has been named director of product management at Ingram Book Group. She was v-p and COO of the Harry W. Schwartz Bookshops.
