Pat Rose and Suzanna Wickham have joined the publicity team at the HarperCollins imprint Harper One. Rose, who was director of public affairs at the public policy think tank the Independent Institute, has been named director of publicity. Rose had worked for HarperCollins in the past, having been publicity director at Harper San Francisco. Wickham, who's been with HC since 2006, had been publicity director for Regan Books and HC's flagship imprint; she has been named director of media relations and will be based in Los Angeles.

Steven Wallace has joined Unbridled Books as sales director. Wallace was most recently Southeast field rep for Random House. He's also handled the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions at Random.

Susan Yaeger has been hired as associate director of mass merchandise sales for HarperCollins Children's Books. Yaeger has been at Borders Group for the past 15 years. In her new role at HC, she will be working with Costco, Sam's, BJ's and the wholesalers that service them.

Mary Funchion has been named development editor at the reference division of Oxford University Press. She was most recently curriculum editor in the electronic publishing unit at Facts on File.

Cynthia Augustine has joined Scholastic as senior v-p of human resources and employee services. She arrives from Time Warner, where she was senior v-p of talent management.

Ingram Publisher Services has promoted two people and hired three others to its sales force. Art Carson, formerly region field sales representative for Northern California, has been promoted to account manager for colleges and universities. Sandy Hernandez has been promoted to the new position of special sales manager, and Elizabeth Silvis, who arrives from HarperCollins, has been named Southwest region field sales rep (Hernandez's former position). Chris Hocking has joined IPS as national accounts manager. Julia Cowlishaw is the company's new Northern California region field sales rep.
