CFM Religion Publishing Group, the Cincinnati-based religious publisher that owns Standard Publishing, has made two acquisitions. The company has acquired RCL: Resources for Christian Living from RCL Enterprises, based in Allen, Tex., and Benziger from McGraw-Hill Education. The two acquired companies will be merged to form RCL Benziger and will be located at the former RCL offices in Texas. Both RCL and Benziger publish a variety of products for the Catholic market, including school and parish materials as well as books.
Matthew Thibeau, president of CFM, will also serve as CEO of RCL Benziger, while Maryann Nead, president of RCL, will be president of the newly merged company. According to CFM, RCL Benziger and Standard Publishing, which publishes for the nondenominational Christian market, will be operated independently.
CFM is backed by the private equity firm Wicks Group.
