Google Adds ‘My Library’ to Book Search

By Calvin Reid -- Publishers Weekly, 9/10/2007 7:12:00 AM

Google continues to refine the functionality of Google Book Search, adding new ways to search and organize the service’s book search results. Google Book Search users now have the ability to create a personal online library by clicking on a new “add to My library” link that has been added to book search results. Readers can build personal libraries of their favorite titles. My Library also offers full-text searching and readers can add labels and reviews to the My Library account. Readers can also share their libraries with friends by sending them a link to their My Library account. In another offering, My Library now has a new feature called “passages” that highlights passages from each book that have been quoted in other books.
