NBF Honors “5 Under 35”

-- Publishers Weekly, 9/24/2007 7:56:00 AM

A few young literary talents are getting their due from the National Book Foundation this fall. On November 10, the NBF will honor five authors under the age of 35 in a celebration dubbed “5 Under 35.” The authors, a mix of previous NBA finalists, winners or people who’ve simply shown promise, are Kristin Allio (Garner, Coffee House Press, 2005), Dinaw Mengetsu (The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears, Riverhead, 2007), Asali Solomon (Get Down: Stories, Farrar, Straus & Giroux, 2006), Anya Ulinich (Petropolis, Viking, 2007) and Charles Yu (Third Class Superhero, Harcourt, 2006).

The event will be held at Tribeca Cinemas, with each writer being introduced by the author who selected them for the honor. For more information about the invitation-only event, contact Camille McDuffie at cmcduffie@goldbergmcduffie.com.
