Hyperion to Move Downtown

By Jim Milliot -- Publishers Weekly, 9/28/2007 6:43:00 AM

With Disney Publishing Worldwide set to begin moving its New York City offices on Fifth Avenue to suburban White Plains, N.Y., next week, Hyperion is getting ready to shift its location from ABC’s headquarters back to its previous Fifth Avenue location. Hyperion, which has been headed by Bob Miller ever since it was launched 16 years ago, had been housed on Fifth Avenue until it moved uptown nine years ago. “This proves you can go home again,” said Miller.

Hyperion is expected to move early next year. Its 57 employees will take over two floors at 114 Fifth Ave.

Space in the Fifth Avenue building is becoming available because the units of Disney Worldwide located there—Disney Press, Hyperion Books for Children, Disney Editions and two magazines—are headed to White Plains in a move set to be completed by the end of the year.
