Olivieri to Leave Wiley-Blackwell

-- Publishers Weekly, 10/16/2007 6:52:00 AM

René Olivieri will step down as chief operating officer of Wiley-Blackwell at the end of the year. Wiley-Blackwell is the STM subsidiary of John Wiley that was formed following Wiley’s purchase of Blackwell in February. Olivieri, who had been the former CEO of Blackwell, had been co-chair of the transition team that integrated Blackwell into Wiley and was named COO this spring. There are no plans at present to replace Olivieri. Eric Swanson continues to head the company as senior v-p.
