Kiddie Cookbook Showdown

The similarities between two recent cookbooks for kids, Deceptively Delicious by Jessica Seinfeld (Collins) and The Sneaky Chef by Missy Chase Lapine (Running Press), may have some publishing people crying “plagiarism,” but really, how many ways are there to inject a dose of healthiness into mac and cheese? The following random sampling of recipes and their secret healthy ingredients shows both likenesses and differences.

Sweet potato Pancakes Applesauce, yogurt
Carrot puree Peanut Butter and Jelly Muffins Sweet potato-carrot puree
