Authors on the Air: Rescue Me, Uncensored; Knipfel’s Noogie's; Cramer's Still Mad

Rescue Me star Denis Leary, who wrote the introduction to Rescue Me: Uncensored, The Official Companion (Newmarket Press, $19.95), just pubbed today.

The Lion King producer Thomas Schumacher, author of How Does The Show Go On? An Introduction To The Theater (Disney Editions, $19.95).

Authors on today’s Leonard Lopate Show:

Jim Knipfel with his latest novel, Noogie's Time to Shine: A True Crime Novel (Virgin, $14.95). PW wrote “Knipfel's talent for empathizing with the underdog, evident is his earlier work, makes Noogie's adventures poignant and funny.”

Walter Russell Mead surveyed God and Gold: Britain, America, and the Making of the Modern World (Knopf, $27.95).

Actors Studio Drama School founder James Lipton went Inside Inside (Dutton, $27.95).

The Bob Edwards Show talked with Marion Elizabeth Rogers, author of Mencken: The American Iconoclast (Oxford Univ. Press, $37.50). PW starred its review, saying “Drawing on research in more than 60 archives, exclusive interviews with Mencken's friends and his love letters, this is a meticulous portrait of one of the most original and complicated men in American letters.”

The Glenn Beck Show hosted Jim Cramer, still promoting Jim Cramer’s Stay Mad for Life: Get Rich, Stay Rich (Make Your Kids Even Richer) (S&S, $26).

The Mark Levin Show met with John Bolton over Surrender Is Not an Option: Defending America at the United Nations (Threshold, $27; CD, $29.95).

Last night on The O’Reilly Factor: body language expert Tonya Reiman, author of the recently pubbed The Power of Body Language (Pocket Books, $25).

Due to the nature of live programming, scheduling is subject to change.

Be advised that the current Writers Guild of America strike is also affecting some talk shows. If the strike has not been resolved, the above-mentioned programs may be replaced by repeats.
