Bookstore Sales Post November Gains

November was another solid month for bookstore sales, with sales rising 7.5%, to $1.19 billion, according to estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau. The November jump beat the gain in sales for the entire retail segment which rose 6.7% in November. For the first 11 months of the year, bookstore sales were up 0.8%, to $14.65 billion; sales for all of retail increased 4.3%.
