1. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules.

Jeff Kinney’s hybrid comics/prose work Diary of Wimpy Kid is the publishing story of the year. The first volume sold more than a million copies and the sequel, Rodrick Rules, takes the top spot this month. Abrams senior editor Charles Kochman said Kinney, “is able to capture childhood succinctly in both words and pictures. The success of the books speak to that universality. No matter how old you are, they’re just plain funny.”
2. Naruto, Volume 27.

Viz Media’s remarkable Naruto series continues to dominate the list with a remarkable 5 titles in the top ten. Volume 27 takes the #2 spot on the list, followed by volumes 26-23! Vol. 27 marks the end of Naruto’s 3 books a month publishing schedule (to catchup U.S. releases to Japan’s) and Vol. 28 will debut Naruto as an older teenager. Subsequent Naruto volumes will be released every two months and look for a library hardcover of Naruto Vol. 1 along with the Official Naruto Fanbook, both due out this month.
