Medallion Press Launches Illustrated Romance Line

Medallion Press, the St. Charles, Ill.-based publisher known best for its romance and historical fiction, announced yesterday the launch of a fifth romance imprint, Medallion Masterpiece Collection. Titles published under the new imprint will include a collection of romance novellas, written by various authors, all of them illustrated by the team of Cherif Fortin and Lynn Sanders, two Chicago-based illustrators known for their portraiture work. The first title from Medallion Masterpiece Collection will be Passion’s Blood, written and illustrated by Fortin and Sanders.

“They’re adult fairy tales,” Heather Lewis, Medallion Press publicist, told PW, describing the hardbound novellas as fully-illustrated romances. “They’re almost picture books.”

Passion’s Blood is slated to hit stores in November, with a 10,000-copy initial print run in hardcover.
