Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has won her battle to ban further publication of a long-lens photograph of her son, in a privacy case her legal team called a major development in British law.
Doubleday, Penguin Try to Revive Bond Series with New Author
On May 28 Doubleday will release Devil May Care by Sebastian Faulks with a print run of 250,000 and a lavish marketing campaign. Penguin plans a print run of 100,000 in the U.K. But, says the WSJ, it's a gamble for both houses.

The WSJ reports the classic Western marketing book Influence: The Power of Persuasion by Robert Cialdini is currently the fifth best-selling business book on Dangdang.com, China’s leading book e-tailer, and selling so well that Dangdang can’t keep it in stock.
