Borland Up At Atria

Peter Borland has been promoted from senior editor to editorial director at Atria Books. Borland, who joined Atria in 2004, has worked on books with Shirley MacLaine, Helen Mirren, the Dalai Lama and Elvis Mitchell.

DongWon Song has been named associate editor at Orbit; Song arrives from Sterling Lord Literistic.

Malo to Drawn & Quarterly

Kit Malo has been named director of operations at indie comics house Drawn & Quarterly. Malo, who will oversee operations at the D+Q retail and event space in Montreal, was most recently a bookkeeper at the 2110 Center for Gender Advocacy at Concordia University.

Bernstein Opens Firm

Swarbick Up at Harper UK

David Swarbick has been promoted from groups sales and marketing director of HarperCollins UK to managing director of international business development. With the promotion, effective August 1, Swarbick will be developing opportunities in growing markets like India, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

Rauch-Kneer Up at Frankfurt Book Fair

Gabi Rauch-Kneer has been promoted from deputy director of exhibition management to director. Helga Johnson, who had been director of exhibition management and worked for the Book Fair for 27 years, has retired.
