DailyLit Redesigns

By Lynn Andriani -- Publishers Weekly, 7/21/2008 7:59:00 AM

DailyLit has redesigned its site, adding customer ratings and free online book reviews. The redesign coincides with the launch of DailyLit’s 1,000th book.

The Mamaroneck, N.Y., publisher of serialized books in digital form now offers readers the ability to rate books on a scale of one to five and write reviews of books offered on DailyLit. These new features are in addition to the book discussion forums already available on DailyLit.com. The new also layout features book covers more prominently, and the most popular books are now highlighted in each category. “Featured book” lists highlight titles selected by DailyLit’s editorial staff.

With the addition of The Odyssey by Homer, DailyLit now features 1,000 classic and contemporary books for free or a nominal fee. Short book installments are sent via e-mail or RSS feed and arrive in a reader’s inbox, which can be read on a desktop, laptop or mobile device (including an iPhone or Blackberry) according to the schedule set by each reader.
