New HarperCollins chief Brian Murray continues put his stamp on the company’s executive team. Larry Nevins has been promoted to executive v-p, operations. Nevins joined Harper in 2001 to head its supply chain team and since 2005 had overseen its creative operations departments and established a digital publishing services group. He will now take on IT and operations. Chief information officer Rick Schwartz and senior v-p of distribution operations Joe Franceschelli will now report to Nevins. The promotions come as HC announced that Glenn D'Agnes, COO of HC for the last 10 years, is leaving the publisher and will not be directly replaced. He had been with the company for 18 years and was involved with everything from helping to integrate the Morrow acquisition to overseeing the company's distribution clients
With the changes at the top Janet Gervasio, senior v-p and CFO; Chris Goff, senior v-p and general council; Jim Young, senior v-p, human resources; Josh Marwell, president of sales; and Erin Crum, v-p, corporate communications will now report directly to Murray. Thomas Hopke, v-p of administration, will report to Jim Young.
