Borders Publishes Jonathan Alter Anthology

Borders’s State Street Press imprint has added a new title to its list, publishing a collection of Newsweek articles by senior editor and columnist Jonathan Alter titled Between the Lines: A View Inside American Politics, People, and Culture. Beginning next Tuesday, August 12, Borders and Waldenbooks, along with Borders.com, will sell the book exclusively. The book will be featured in front-of-store displays in Borders and Waldenbooks stores nationwide and promoted through an online marketing campaign, which will include a feature in the Borders “Shortlist,” the retailer’s weekly e-mail for its 27 million-plus Borders Rewards loyalty program members. Borders will host Alter as he reads and signs copies at stores in Manhattan; Bridgewater, NJ; and Syosset, NY in September.
