Sarah Durand has been named senior editor at Atria Books. Durand, who will start at the S&S imprint on September 2, arrives from Morrow/Avon, where she began her career in 1998. She’s worked on titles by Jefferson Bass, Terri Cheney and James Reese.

Jessica Deutsch has been promoted at Milkweed Editions from marketing assistant to marketing and publicity manager.
Crowe to Houghton
Anna Crowe has joined Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as a senior publicist. Crowe, who is based in HMH’s New York office, was most recently a publicist at Bantam Dell.
Free Moves to Waterfront
Chelseah Perth Free has been named director of strategic partnerships at Waterfront Media. Free arrives from Advertising.com (which was renamed Platform-A), where she was a sales manager. At Waterfront, Free is handling ad sales for New York and Boston agencies.

John Federico has joined BlogTalkRadio.com, the online talk radio broadcaster, as v-p of marketing. Federico arrives from the interactive marketing agency IconNicholson, where he was senior strategist.
