Weisberger Re-Ups With S&S

Devil Wears Prada author Lauren Weisberger has signed a new two-book deal with her publisher, Simon & Schuster. Sloan Harris of ICM brokered the deal, for North American rights, with publisher David Rosenthal and executive editor Marysue Rucci. The first book, slated for a 2010 release, will be a revenge novel featuring an overnight celebrity. It will, according to the publisher, "mine the glamorous world Weisberger has made her signature." Commenting on the deal, Rucci called the author "a gem on Simon & Schuster’s list."
