Touchstone senior editor Zachary Schisgal has acquired world rights to Ivanka Trump's first book, described as a motivational title for women of her generation, in a deal with Mel Berger at William Morris. The yet to be titled work will be based on Trump's personal experiences in life and business, and will include lessons learned from her father as well as other business luminaries.
The 27-year-old Trump, an executive vice president of real estate development and acquisition for the Trump Organization, is also founder of her own line of jewelry. She is also no stranger to publishing; father Donald first hit the bestseller list with 1988's The Art of the Deal and has gone on to write numerous other titles, and mother Ivana has written two novels as well as a self-help book. Touchstone, which approached Trump with the idea for a book, will publish in fall 2009; Chris Morrow will co-write.
