Becky Saletan Quits HMH

Becky Saletan, publisher at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt's trade and reference unit, is stepping down. HMH spokesperson Josef Blumenfeld confirmed to the AP that Saletan, who was named senior v-p and publisher of HMH's trade and reference division in January 2008, had quit, but declined to offer more details. Saletan's departure comes on the heels of last week's news that HMH put a freeze on acquiring new books. More to come on this as details develop.
