Rubin, Irwyn Applebaum Step Down in RH Reorg

-- Publishers Weekly, 12/3/2008 8:21:00 AM

The long anticipated restructuring of Random House was announced this morning a letter sent by chairman Markus Dohle to company employees. The reorganization will involve the consolidation of several publishing groups and the elimination of jobs held by Irwyn Applebaum and Steve Rubin, who had headed the Bantam Dell and Doubleday Broadway publishing groups, although Dohle said he hopes to find a new role for Rubin within RH. Gina Centrello, Sonny Mehta and Jenny Frost will head the adult groups and Chip Gibson remains in charge of the children’s division. To read Dohle’s letter click here.
