John Wiley and Directory M Enter Internet Content Syndication Partnership

-- Publishers Weekly, 12/9/2008 2:33:00 PM

John Wiley & Sons has entered into a content syndication partnership with Directory M, a Web company that creates location-based information resources. Directory M uses sophisticated database and taxonomy technology to create reference Web sites tailored to individual’s needs in particular geographic locations. Their technology will generate sites like this based on Google searches. Each of these sites features evergreen content that accompanies listings of local businesses. Through the new agreement, Wiley’s “For Dummies” books will be used as evergreen content on applicable local sites, in exchange for attribution, exposure or revenue share.
