Cooking by Number: Asian Up, Italian Down

The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards received thousands of cookbooks from 102 countries in 2008. Along with a deluge of recipes, mouth-watering photos, and interesting facts about succotash, the organization also gets a bird’s eye view of the global cookbook landscape. Here is their perceived world ranking of cuisines, based on cookbooks published last year.

3. Italian

4. Chinese

5. French

6. Latino
