Schwartz Buyer Retires

Eleanor Gore, longtime children's buyer at Harry W. Schwartz Bookshops in Milwaukee, retired at the end of 2008. She had been with Schwartz since the early 1970s and helped make the children's department one of the most important in the company. “We will miss her genuine warmth and good humor, her broad understanding of the book business and her wise choices as a seasoned buyer,” said owner Carol Grossmeyer.
