Grand Central Signs Chris Rock

Comedian and actor Chris Rock has signed to do a book, tentatively scheduled for fall 2010, with Grand Central. Esther Newberg and Eddy Yablans at ICM negotiated the deal with Grand Central v-p and editor-in-chief Deb Futter. This is Rock’s first book since the bestselling
Rock This!, a collection of essays released by Hyperion in hardcover in 1997. Rock’s TV series,
Everyone Hates Chris, which airs on the CW Network, has won numerous awards.
