Changes at PW; Zondervan/TNT partnership
As many of you may know by now, PW executive editor Daisy Maryles (that’s me) will be leaving the magazine. Among my many duties was the magazine’s religion coverage—a task that I have been responsible for in various capacities for about 30 years. There will be an announcement shortly of who will be in charge of the magazine’s religion coverage, as PW will continue its commitment to cover this very important category. Zondervan has formed a partnership with TNT centered around the new TNT Original movie (airing Feb, 7) Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story. that will air February 7. Zondervan will offer two books that correspond with the movie about the inner-city youngster who rose above his circumstances to become director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University Hospital. It stars Cuba Gooding Jr. as Dr. Ben Carson. The trade book Gifted Hands by Carson and Cecil Murphey is available in several formats including hardcover, softcover, mass market, Ebook and audio download.
