Because of an unexpected date with destiny in the Hudson River, hero pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger was late returning his library book. The library waived the late fee. The book’s subject matter? Professional ethics

Blair Lent, Children’s Book Author, Dead at 80, reports New York Times
Lent wrote Pistachio and was the illustrator of such books as Tikki Tikki Tembo, The Funny Little Woman and Why the Sun and the Moon Live in the Sky

Bernard Gladstone, DIY Columnist, Dead at 87, reports New York Times
Gladstone wrote a do-it-yourself home repair column for the New York Times for 32 years and published more than 20 books on the subject, including The Complete Manual of Home Repair (1969)

Sony E-book Reader to Make German Debut, reports The Bookseller
The Sony Reader PRS-505 will be sold in Germany beginning March 11th in a joint partnership with wholesaler Libri and Thalia, Germany’s largest book chain
