Rodeen’s current roster of 16 clients includes the first two authors he repped at SLL: Peter Brown (Chowder) and Melissa Wyatt (Raising the Griffin). “Almost everyone I repped at Sterling Lord came with me to this agency,” Rodeen told Bookshelf. When asked if being based in Chicago rather than Manhattan would impede his efforts to find publishers for the authors he represents, Rodeen explained that he will continue to make three or four annual trips to New York City to meet with editors and publishers there. “All the meetings get done, but on a more condensed basis,” Rodeen said.
