BookExpo America has announced the full slate of authors set to appear on its Author Stages, two new performance spaces on the convention floor, appearing for the first time at this year's show, where authors will be interviewed and perform readings. A total of more than 700 authors are slated to appear at BEA, and between 35 and 40 will be participating in events on one of the two Author Stages.
Interviews and other events on the Author Stages will be captured on video and Borders.com will be streaming that content, as well as interviews from its own staffers on the show floor. While the final schedule for the Author Stages is still subject to change within the next two weeks, among those currently set to appear are: Steven Tyler, who kicks off the Author Stage interviews on Thursday, May 28; Pat Conroy; John Irving; James Ellroy; Charles McGrath; Cornell West; Tavis Smiley; A.J. Jacobs; Captain Chesley B. Sullenberger, III; and Colin Harrison. For a full list of the scheduled appearances, go to BEA's Web site at www.bookexpoamerica.com.
