BookExpo America 2009: Perseus Unveils 'Book: The Sequel' Timeline

As part of its effort to produce a from book start to finish during BookExpo America, Perseus Books Group has released a timeline of scheduled meetings taking place at its booth and which conventiongoers are invited to observers and in some case participate. Submissions for Book: The Sequel are due by 4 p.m. today at www.bookthesequel.com. Production will start with an editorial meeting Friday at 9 a.m. at the Perseus booth, and will conclude Saturday at 4 p.m. with a launch party. The complete schedule is below.

Friday, May 29th

9:00 a.m.            Editorial Meeting
10:00 a.m.          Jacket Discussion/Interior Book Design
11:00 a.m.          First Pass Pages Arrive
1:00 p.m.            Marketing/Publicity Strategy Meeting
3:30 p.m.             Foreign Rights/Sales Discussion
5:00 p.m.            E-galleys available

Saturday, May 30th

9:00 a.m.            Book Website Creation
9:30 a.m.            Reading Group Guide Creation
1:00 p.m.            First Print Run Meeting
3:30 p.m.            Q&A with Participants
4:00 p.m.            Book Launch Party in booth.
