Today, Good Morning America hosted bestseller Robert Holden, whose latest is Be Happy! Release the Power of Happiness in YOU (Hay House, 978-1401921804, $25.95; Hay House abridged CD, $34.95).
The Morning Show with Mike & Juliet consulted Dr. Scott Haltzman, whose The Secrets of Happy Families: Eight Keys to Building a Lifetime of Connection and Contentment (Jossey-Bass, 978-0470377109, $24.95) pubs later this month.
On The Leonard Lopate Show, bestseller Michael Lewis explained Home Game: An Accidental Guide to Fatherhood (W.W. Norton, 978-0393069013, $23.95; Brilliance Audio unabridged CD, $24.99). PW wrote “Although Lewis is correct that his fatherhood moments might be more interesting to him than to anyone else, his reflections capture both the unease and the excitement that fatherhood brings.”
The Bob Edwards Show interviewed historian Thurston Clarke, whose The Last Campaign: Robert F. Kennedy and 82 Days That Inspired America (Holt, 978-0805090222, $15; HighBridge unabridged CD, $34.95) is just out in paperback. PW thought “his book is more revealing as an iconic portrait of the passionate, turbulent zeitgeist of the 1960s.”
This evening on The Colbert Report: North Dakota senator Byron Dorgan, author of Reckless! How Debt, Deregulation, and Dark Money Nearly Bankrupted America (And How We Can Fix It!) (Thomas Dunne Books, 978-0312383039, $24.99). PW’s review called it a “scathing indictment of the Bush administration and the excesses of big business and corporate gluttony during the past eight years. Readers who can wade through his rehashing of wrongdoing will find his practical solutions persuasive and in alignment with the new administration.”
Due to the nature of live programming, scheduling is subject to change.
