Also opening today is the movie The Taking of Pelham 123 starring Denzel Washington, John Travolta and Luis Guzman, based on The Taking of Pelham 123 by John Godey (Berkley MTI, 978-0425228791, $9.99; RH Audio unabridged CD, $34.95).

On NPR's The Story with Dick Gordon: religion columnist Cathleen Falsani, author of Sin Boldly: A Field Guide for Grace (Zondervan, 978-0310279471, $19.99), about which PW said “only a fierce cynic could fail to be drawn in to Falsani’s tales and candid reflections.”
Tonight, Tavis Smiley talks with award-winning writer Colson Whitehead, author of Sag Harbor: A Novel (Doubleday, 978-0385527651, $24.95; RH Audio unabridged CD, $39.95). From PW’s starred review: “Benji's funny and touching story progresses leisurely toward Labor Day, but his reflections on what's gone before provide a roadmap to what comes later, resolving social conflicts that, at least this year, have yet to explode.”
Due to the nature of live programming, scheduling is subject to change.
