Hemingway’s ‘Movable Feast’ Revamped
Scribner is publishing a re-edited edition of Hemingway’s famous memoir of his early days in Paris; it is edited by Hemingway’s grandson and restores passages that paint a more nuanced picture of the author’s romantic life.
Macmillan UK Orders 85,000 Copy Reprint of Jackson Bio
Macmillan has order a massive reprint of J Randy Taraborrelli's Michael Jackson: The Magic and the Madness. Expect similar Jackson book surges over here.
Montreal Publisher Has Timely Jackson Bio
The book was being prepared to coincide with Jackson’s upcoming London concerts but is now being rapidly revised to reflect his death. Presses are set to roll tomorrow.
Werner Herzog’s Jungle Journals Published
The controversial filmmaker kept a journal during the filming of his award-winning 1982 jungle epic Fitzcarraldo. In it he described his hatred of the jungle and the troubled filming of the movie. The journal has now been published in English as 'Conquest of the Useless: Reflections from the Making of Fitzcarraldo.'
