HCI Author Gets Own Imprint

Farrah Gray to launch FG Publishing

By Lynn Andriani -- Publishers Weekly, 10/13/2009 7:26:00 AM

HCI is giving one of its authors his own imprint. FG Publishing, Inc., will be headed by author, entrepreneur, speaker and philanthropist Farrah Gray. HCI published Gray’s book Reallionaire: Nine Steps to Becoming Rich from the Inside Out in 2005, in which Gray explained how he became a millionaire at age 14 and went on to launch businesses and foundations and publish several books.

The first title in the new imprint will be Dear Dad: The Marley Son Who Persevered From the Street to Prominence by Jamaican actor and reggae musician (and son of singer Bob Marley) Ky-Mani Marley. FG will publish the $15.95 paperback in February 2010. FG has not yet announced subsequent books, but the line will publish in the area of nonfiction self-help.

HCI president and publisher Peter Vegso said, “Farrah Gray’s new imprint seems to be a good fit for our publishing house. We did quite well with Farrah’s first book and continue to admire the work he does and expect FG Publishing to be a successful addition here.” Gray has published other books with Penguin.
