Litzsinger New Follett Chairman

Staff -- Publishers Weekly, 4/2/2001

R. Mark Litzsinger, who joined the Follett Corp. in 1978, took over as company chairman April 1, following the retirement of Kenneth Hull, who had been chairman since 1999. Litzsinger began as a management trainee for Follett College Stores and after a series of promotions became director of business development in 1988. In 1991 Litzsinger was named president of Follett's Custom Academic Publishing Co., a position he held until 1998, when he was named vice-chairman.

Hull joined Follett, which had revenues of $1.4 billion in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2000, in 1968 and became the first non-Follett family member to head the company when he was appointed president in 1997.
