Weinberg, Jones Promoted at HC

HarperCollins has promoted Susan Weinberg and Robert Jones to new positions within the HC general books group. Weinberg, who has been senior v-p, associate publisher and editorial director of trade paperbacks, was named editorial director of the HC imprint and will continue to be responsible for the Quill and Perennial trade paperback lines. She will report to Cathy Hemming, president and group publisher of HC general books.
Jones, who has been v-p and executive editor, has been appointed editor-in-chief of the HC imprint, a position that has been vacant since Joelle Delbourgo left in May 1999. Jones has been with HC for 16 years and will report to Weinberg.
