Returns were exceptionally high in the children's hardcover and paperback segments, rising 84.7% and 105.8%, respectively, but the hardcover category managed to eke out a 1.8% increase in the month, while paperback sales were up 6.3%. The book club segment was the strongest in the month, with sales ahead 9.8%.
