Rhodes to Join Rodale

As part of its effort to expand its trade publishing program, Rodale Inc. has named Amy Rhodes v-p and publisher of its trade books division. Rhodes, who will start her job May 14, will report to Rodale president and chief operating officer Steve Murphy. Murphy said, "Hiring Amy demonstrates Rodale's serious commitment to growing the trade publishing aspect of our business." Rhodes most recently had been v-p and director of sales and marketing at Harry N. Abrams and before that had held three marketing and sales posts at Little, Brown. At Rodale, Rhodes will oversee all of the publisher's trade book sales, marketing and promotion functions for U.S. and foreign markets.
