Sudamericana Now Random's

Random House, through its affiliate Spanish-language publishing company Plaza & Janes, has acquired the outstanding 40% equity in Latin America's Sudamericana publishing group from the Lopez Llovet family. Random, which had bought a 60% stake in Sudamericana in 1997, is now the sole owner of the company. Sudamericana will remain headquartered in Buenos Aires under the management team of Olaf Hantel, director general; Gloria Lopez Llovet, editorial director; and Javier Lopez Llovet, commercial and marketing director.
