Bookseller of the Year: Quail Ridge Books

Staff -- Publishers Weekly, 3/19/2001

For the second year in a row, a bookstore in North Carolina has won PW's Bookseller of the Year Award. This year's winner is Quail Ridge Books in Raleigh, N.C., owned by Nancy Olson and founded in 1984. (Last year's winner was Malaprop's Bookstore/Café in Asheville.)

Quail Ridge is well-known for its reading and children's programs, and its involvement with the community. The store will be the subject of a feature in PW's pre-BEA issue, dated May 7.
