Last month, David Almond wrapped up a 13-city tour in support of his third novel, Heaven Eyes (Delacorte). This time around, Almond went to a number of states he had never visited, Kentucky, Colorado and Texas among them. He signed over 100 books at Austin's BookPeople, where one winner of a store-sponsored contest got to read an original story to Almond and the crowd.
Almond has just returned home to England from the American Library Association conference in San Francisco, where he picked up the Michael L. Printz Award for Kit's Wilderness (Delacorte).
