Hollywood Wives Redux

by Daisy Maryles -- Publishers Weekly, 7/2/2001

Jackie Collins enjoyed a run of 29 weeks back in 1983–1984 with Hollywood Wives; the book sold more than 225,000 hardcover copies in its first year of publication and was the ninth bestselling novel that year; total copies in print to date for the Simon & Schuster book and the Pocket paperback are two million-plus. Fast forward to 2001 and the publication of Hollywood Wives—The Next Generation by Simon & Schuster. It jumps onto the PW list in the #6 slot, with more than 215,000 copies in print after three trips to press. Collins has been very visible on national 20-city TV and radio tours and has made appearances on Today, The View, Entertainment Tonight and more; Larry King Live and Rivera Live are still to come.
