Fitzgerald Named to S&S Distribution Post

Simon & Schuster has named Gary Fitzgerald director of distribution client services. Fitzgerald, who will join S&S July 10, has been director of national accounts at the LPC Group and before that was v-p, director of marketing and sales, for the Carol Publishing Group. Fitzgerald will be in charge of expanding S&S's distribution business, an area the company has targeted for growth. S&S has signed a number of new clients over the last year, most recently the National Geographic's children's division. Fitzgerald will report to Larry Norton, senior v-p of the sales and distribution division.
