Justice Well Dunne

by Daisy Maryles -- Publishers Weekly, 7/9/2001

Dominick Dunne's latest bestseller, Justice: Crimes, Trials, and Punishments, collects some of his high-profile Vanity Press features spanning more than 20 years. Included are essays about murders still in the news, including the reopened trial of Michael Skakel, accused murderer of Connecticut teen Martha Moxley; Dunne's 1993 bestseller, A Season in Purgatory, was based on the trial that took place almost 25 years ago, and evidence that he uncovered for that book was a major catalyst to reopening the investigation. Dunne's tour for the book began June 25 in New York and includes stops through mid August in 12 cities—five in Connecticut, six on the upper East Coast and only one west of DC, in Los Angeles. Crown reports 95,000 copies in print after three trips to press.
