Lightning Strikes NACSCORP Deal

Staff -- Publishers Weekly, 7/9/2001

NACSCORP, the distribution and wholesaling subsidiary of the National Association of College Stores, and Ingram's Lightning Source have entered an agreement whereby the more than 30,000 titles in Lightning Source's digital library will be made available to the 3,500 college bookstores served by NACSCORP.

The move seems a smart one for both parties: through course packs and electronic text delivery, which are more popular on campus than in the trade market, the college world is well-acquainted with the possibilities and promise of print-on-demand and e-books.
