Do not resist the RSS feed

March 16, 2007

Thanks to all of you who posted comments on my first entry, linked my blog to yours, or wrote directly to me with words of congratulations. It's wonderful to receive such a warm welcome!

Several of you mentioned wanting a ShelfTalker RSS feed, and I'm pleased to report that there is one! If you look just to the right of the word ShelfTalker at the top of this page you'll see a little orange icon. Click on it and you'll travel to the list of RSS feeds available from Publishers Weekly. ShelfTalker is near the bottom of the list, fourth from the end.

If you don't know what an RSS feed is, you'll find a reasonably clear explanation at What Is RSS.

If you don't think you're "ready" to adopt new technologies like RSS feeds, then you are by no means ready for the future described in the brilliant novel Feed by my dear friend M. T. Anderson. I recommend that you read the book and start preparing yourself.

I am using Google Reader to subscribe to the latest news RSS feed and is has not updated since March 19th. I have deleted it and re-subscribed and the newest story is still March 19th. When will this be fixed?
