Please Attend the Brooklyn Book Festival for Author Stalkers Who Can't
September 12, 2008

On Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. the literati will gather near Boro Hall for
the annual Brooklyn Book Festival, and I dearly wish I could be there.
Of course, there are so many authors on the slate that I'd be hard-pressed to choose whether to stalk Pico Iyer, Joe Meno, or A.M. Homes.
Alas, I'm on deadline, so I'll be staying put here in DC and cooling my bookish heels until the
National Book Festival on September 27. There I'll be able to stalk Richard Price and Salman Rushdie, while unsuccessfully trying to remind Louis Bayard, Brad Meltzer, and Alexander McCall Smith of our many happy times together during past interviews (since all three of them will probably be mobbed by...stalking fans like me).
Hope everyone has a great weekend; if you do go to the Festival, please leave a comment and tell us what you saw/did, and who you met.
