Book Expo American 2008: I'm Such a Tease
May 30, 2008

Here it is, already 6.15 a.m. Pacific time, and I've got to get on a shuttle bus to the Staples Center by 7.00. Such Harry Potter Knight Bus outside Book Expo Americais life at the show...after this mornings very early Editors' Buzz Panel, I'll get to the press room and write up an entry on the party I went to last night (yes, that's singular; I hit the jet lag wall early).

However, I thought I'd give you a "tease" of some of the fun things I'll have coming up in the next few days. I'll be interviewing several celebrity authors. Let's see if you can guess who they are from my corny clues (hey, it's early here!). Answers coming in a later entry, in case you don't care to guess:

Author Number One: A very adaptable sort, whose best-known work blooms with possibility.

Author Number Two: This Poor Richard of the Internet is certainly above average.

Author Number Three: Fighting aliens or the prosecution? No one deals like he does.

Author Number Four: She's perfect on screen, on covers, and as a children's-book author.

I am sooooo jealous. When will this madness end, moving BEA away from the epicenter of publishing every other year? Gah.
