The Best Reason for YouTube: PostSecret VideoAugust 12, 2007My friend K. (you remember her, the woman who invented bookswapping for me?) introduced me to Frank Warren and his incredible PostSecret world in 2004. Now Warren's publisher has created an elegant little video explaining that world. I wish I could embed the player for this video right here in this post -- the spirit is willing, but the tech (or at least the tech savvy) is weak. So I urge you to watch right now. Sometimes all people need is a safe place to let it out. This is a meeting place of those minds. Besides i'm sure your secretly wishing you had the guts to use it.

In response to: The Best Reason for YouTube: PostSecret Video Kevin A. Lewis commented: Actually, Anon, I find secrets are best when stored in a wine cellar till ripe for tasting, or confined behind electric wire with DANGER: FORBIDDEN ZONE signs posted to keep unwary hikers from being yuckked out by the nameless horrors within... Naturally in the latter case armed patrols in hazmat suits should often visit to make sure the nameless horrors are behaving themselves! In any event, secrets are a natural resource too valuable to be scattered online for all and sundry... "Cast not your pearls" and all that, what?
